What to expect
Our adult ADHD assessments are thorough and tailored to each individual. The process usually takes 3-4 hours.
1. Optional Telephone Conversation
Initial discussion to understand your needs or concerns
4. Diagnostic Interview
Carried out by a consultant nurse with NHS expertise
2. Screening and Questionnaires
CAARS-2 and QB Check completed online before your assessment
3. Structured Interview
The DIVA-5, recognised as the "gold standard" adult ADHD assessment
What to expect

Initial discussion to understand your needs and answer any further questions
2. Screeners and Questionnaires
Comprehensive forms to gather detailed background information
Comment: It can be very helpful, where possible, to include information from another person who knows you well
3. Clinical Interview
We use the Autism Clinical Interview for Adults (ACIA), developed by Newcastle University
Comment: Again, input from someone who knows you well can be valuable at this stage
